Thanks to everyone who provided input on the retreat survey last month. Don't worry, this isn't just for knitters. It's for crocheters, spinners, weavers, and felters too! The results of the survey can be viewed here. Because of your input, we felt confident in scheduling an event like this, so here are the details!

The retreat will be held from Friday, October 17th through Sunday October 19th, at the Mo Ranch Conference Center in Hunt, about 90 miles west of San Antonio. We have reserved "Nicklos Place" which has a main house and guest cottages and sleeps a total of 24 people. You can read more about our accommodations here. Check-in is at 4:00 and check-out is at noon. We will be car-pooling from the shop at 2:00 that Friday and will return early Sunday afternoon. The following are the bedroom breakout and costs. The prices listed below is for both nights and includes dinner on Friday, 3 meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. All bedrooms have twin beds.

• 4 person bedroom with private bath - $120 per person
• 3 person bedroom with private bath - $130 per person
• 2 person bedroom with semi-private bath - $140 per person
• 2 person bedroom with private bath - $145 per person

We expect this to be popular and fill up fast! Therefore reservations will be handled on a first paid first reserved basis. Due to the expected demand we are limiting the event to fiber lovers only. If you have a child still breastfeeding and not yet walking you can bring him/her along. If we have more interest than beds, we might be able to work additional arrangements in another part of the conference center. Those staying elsewhere can join us in the main house when not sleeping.

Because of our contract with Mo Ranch, we must have your payment by June 15th. After this date, if we are unable to fill the beds, we will have to cancel the retreat and those who paid will get their money back. If an individual must cancel after June 15th we will be unable to refund their money unless someone else is available to take their place, no exceptions. We will be very strict with this policy because we are paying the entire fee up front and will not get a refund.

We are really excited about this retreat, and if it's popular enough we can make it an annual event! If that is the case we will probably move it to the spring so as not to conflict with all the other fall events and the holiday rush.
