Description:: Whip up this fun summer hat to sheild your eyes from the Texas Sun. Perfect for use in the garden or on the beach. The hat has a lacy floral top, then progresses to a clustered side (for maximum airflow) and a shelled brim to block the sun.

Two 2-hour sessions, cost is $30 plus materials. Class meets Sundays, August 1st and 8th. Please call ahead to reserve your space.

Prerequisite Learn to crochet or equivalent. You should be familiar with basic stitches, we'll explore ways to put them together with this hat.

Materials 200 yards of worsted weight yarn (cotton, linen or a blend)--140 yards main color and 60 yards of the contrast color, Size G-6 (4.0)mm or size to obtain gauge. Linda's pattern is included w/yarn purchase for this project, just promise to upload pics to Ravelry. :)
